On the weekend of 11/10/2017, fashion lovers travel from afar to gather at the annual Rufflecon (New England, USA)
to celebrate their love of alternative clothing styles, ranging from Lolita to Steam Punk to Menhara.
Attendees got to see runway shows, speak with these designers and directly buy their looks at the merchandise booths afterwards.
As an American Lolita model, I had the special opportunity of working with designers and seeing the newest style trends backstage.
11月10日の週末、ファッションを愛する人々は、毎年恒例になったラッフルコン（アメリカ、ニューイングランド）に集まるため、とても遠くまでみんな足を延ばしました。もちろん、オルタナティブ・ファッションへの愛を称えるためで、集まった人々は、ロリータファッションから、スティームパンク、果てはメンヘラファッションまで、とても幅広いものになりました。
ランウェイの上でのファッションショーもありましたし、デザイナーたちとも話ができ、その上、購買ブースでは彼らの最新ファッションを直接買うこともできるのです。私もアメリカのロリータモデルとして、デザイナーの方々との特別な時間を、そして彼らの最新のスタイルをバックステージで見る機会に恵まれたのね。

Talented designers from all over the world (America all the way to Europe and Asia) got to showcase styles in
individual runway shows. Friday morning started out with one of my favorite American brands Puvithel,
revealing hauntingly beautiful gothic dresses and opulent accessories.
才能あるデザイナーたちが世界中から集まり（本当に、アメリカだけで反くて、ヨーロッパやアジアからも）、それぞれのスタイルをランウェイで披露していく。
金曜日の朝、私の大のお気に入り、アメリカのブランド、プーヴィセルのショーから始まっていく。圧倒されるほどの美しさをほこるドレス、そして優雅なアクセサリーが
次々と姿を現す。

Friday night ended with a spectacular Brilliant Kingdom performance and Triple Fortune Fashion Show (from Japan).
Triple Fortune’s fashion theme for this show was “Poison Garden” a beautiful floral world with a sad romantic twist.
Their styles this winter season had a mix of Chinese and floral Victorian inspirations.
金曜日の夜は、ブリリアント・キングダムのパフォーマンスとトリプル・フォーチュンのファッションショー（もちろん、日本から参加よ）で更けていく。今回のトリプル・フォーチュンのショーのテーマは、「ボイズン・ガーデン（毒をはらむ庭）」で、悲しくロマンチックなひねりが効いた、とても美しいフローラルな世界が繰り広げられていくの。
今季冬の彼らのスタイルは、中国風とビクトリアンな花の世界からのインスピレーションがとてもうまく融合している。

On day 2, I was able to browse and purchase lovely runway creations at Rufflecon’s merchandise room.
One of my favorites was the regal American jewelry/clothing brand Voodooodolly (I loved their metal floral crown).
ラッフルコン2日目、私も何とかランウェイに登場した可愛らしいアイテムを物販コーナーで見つけ、買うことができました。お気に入りのひとつは、アメリカのジュエリー／衣装ブランド
Voodooodolly。ここの金属製の花の王冠シリーズが大好きなの。

I ended that evening by modeling at the Metamorphose Temps de Fille fashion show. Designer/model Natsumi-san showcased religious and bridal inspired dresses giving this fashion show an elegant cathedral wedding theme.
その日の最後は、私自らモデルを行ったメタモルフォーゼタンドゥフィーユのファッションショー。デザイナーでありモデルのナツミさんが宗教画とブライダルをモチーフにした
ドレスを優雅な大聖堂での結婚式を思わせるセッティングで見せてくれました。

Rufflecon had such a fun-filled and vibrant atmosphere where people got to explore different alternative fashion styles and meet their creators. The best part for me was seeing the unique styles of other attendees and being inspired by them in turn. I can’t wait to see the influence of these new style trends in the upcoming year!
ラッフルコンは、集まった人たちがいろいろ違う種類のオルタナティブ・ファッションを見つけ、そのクリエイターたちに会うことのできる楽しく、活気の溢れる大会です。
私にとって個人的に最高だなって思えるのは、参加している人たちのユニークなスタイルを見ること、そしてそこからインスピレーションを受けることかな。そんな新しい
スタイルが来るべき年に何かに影響を与えているはずなんです。それを見るのが待ちきれません。
