On Saturday the 7th of October, the legendary Shironuri artist Minori visited London! She was greeted by over 40 lolitas from around the UK who were excited to join her at this unique tea party at the Grange White Hall Hotel.
10月7日土曜日、あの伝説の白塗りアーティスト、ミノリさんがロンドンを訪れました。イギリス中から40人ものロリータファッション愛好家たちが集まり、みんなでミノリさんにご挨拶。彼女をゲストにグランジ・ホワイト・ホテルでとてもユニークなティーパーティーを催したんですよ。

It was her third time attending a fashion event in London – previously she has attended the Tea Party Club’s Enchanted and Hyper Japan. While this event was on a smaller scale, you could tell everyone was passionate about fashion with everyone dressing up for the event.
ミノリさんがロンドンでファッションイベントに参加するのはこれが3度目－以前ティーパーティークラブが主催した「ENCHANTED」と「HYPER JAPAN」というイベントに参加したことがあるそうです。今回パーティーはずっとスケール的には小さいけれど、参加者はほんとにファッションに対して情熱的でイベントのためにすごくドレスアップしているのが分かってもらえると思います。

Minori wore a gorgeous handmade outfit, inspired by Victorian architecture. It was a white and gold vintage coord with tassel accents and a fur trim.
ミノリさんはビクトリア調の建設にインスピレーションを受けた、すごくゴージャスな手作りの衣装を着ていました。タッセルでアクセントをつけ、毛皮の縁取りをあしらった白とゴールドのビンテージなコーデです。

The Event

The event began with a group photo in the hotel garden. The nostalgic landscape really brought out the vintage feeling of the lolita coordinates!
イベントの始まりは、ホテルの庭での集合写真。どこか懐かしい景観が自分たちのコーデが求めているビンテージなフィーリングをうまく引き出してくれました。

Following the photo session was a buffet! It served sweets and sandwiches, perfect for afternoon tea. The attendees were able to mingle with their friends while enjoying their meals. Each table had small gifts for people to take home with them. During the meal, Minori visited each table and spoke with the guests, where many people told of how she inspired them in their fashion and art. She would then play rock-paper-scissors with the attendees. If they won, they would be entered into a competition to win an original present – a framed print of one of Minori’s prints.
写真撮影会に続いては、お待ちかねのビュッフェタイム。スウィーツやサンドウィッチが供され午後のお茶会にぴったりです。スウィーツなどを食べながら、友人たちとわいわいガヤガヤ。それぞれのテーブルには小さいけれど贈り物まで用意されたんですよ。そのお食事タイム、ミノリさんが各テーブルを訪ねてくれて、参加者とお話をしてくださりました。多くの人たちが彼らのファッションと美術にどれだけミノリさんがインスピレーションを与えてくれているかを話したようです。その後、参加者とミノリさんでジャンケン大会。最後まで勝ち残った人は、ミノリさんのオリジナル写真をフレームに入れものがプレゼントされました。

At this point, it was announced that Minori would be selling her artbooks. Then, much to the joy of her fans, she signed all of the copies that had been sold. She thanked people individually for buying them, telling them how she appreciated their support.
イベントも進んでいき、ミノリさんからご自分の本の販売をアナウンスしていただきました。それも彼女のサイン付というファンにはたまらない企画。ミノリさん自ら、購入者ひとり一人とお話をして、彼らのサポートに感謝をしていらっしゃいました。

Party games!
Now that everyone had eaten, it was time to start playing some games! It began with Minori choosing her favorite coordinate from the guests. There were all kinds of outfits worn; Classic floral dresses, Halloween prints… there were even some ouji coords. Everyone looked so good, she wasn’t sure who to pick!
お食事タイムの後は、ゲームの時間。まずミノリさんが会場参加者の中から気に入ったコーデを選ぶというゲーム。クラシックやフローラル、ハロウィンモチーフのプリントなど会場には様々なファッションが。中には王子コーデの人たちもいて。みんな本当にすばらしいコーデ力で、ミノリさんも選ぶのに一苦労。

After deliberating, Minori chose a unique coordinate which stood out from the rest. They were wearing a Halloween themed coordinate with white face paint, matching her own Shironuri style. It had a dark, gothic twist which caught her eye!
The lucky winner of the coordinate contest was given a very special present – a vintage headdress which was made by Minori herself. It was delicate and dainty, perfect for any of her fans.
すごくよく考えて、ミノリさんは会場でもひときわ目立つユニークなコーデを選んでくれました。彼らはハロウィンをテーマにしたコーデに、ミノリさんのスタイルにも似た白塗りのファイスペイントを合わせています。ダークでゴシックなひねりがミノリさんの目に留まったのかもしれませんね。

The room flooded with excitement as the next game started! It was the raffle, where the winning tickets would win a special lolita prize. Each attendee was given a raffle ticket upon entry, which would decide their fate! The prizes were donated by local brands as well as some from overseas. Prizes included accessories, wigs, clothing, and folded fans. With such a huge amount of prizes, most of the attendees were able to nab a prize.
興奮冷めやらぬ中、次のゲームが始まります！ラッフルで当選者を決めていこうということで、会場に入った時に配られたラッフルのチケットを見つめます。勝てば、地元のブランドから寄せられたアクセサリーやウィグ、洋服、扇子などロリータな特別賞品が当たります。賞品はたくさんあったので、参加した人たちは何かしら持って帰ることができたようです。

Once the raffle was over and everyone had their presents, it was time to say goodbye. Before that though, there was one more important announcement..!
In the lead up to the event, the organizers had planned a special present to give to Minori. She had worked so hard and was so excited to meet her fans in London that everyone wanted to give something back. Minori was moved as she unwrapped a beautiful book featuring messages and photos from all the guests! She then thanked everyone for coming, as well as the organizer for putting together such a wonderful event. She then took videos of everyone’s outfits to use on her blog, later on, focusing on the details of each coordinate.
ラッフルが終わって、みんなにプレゼントが渡りました。そろそろお別れの時間です。でもその前に、もうひとつだけ大事な発表がありました。
イベント開催に至るまでに主催者は何かしらミノリさんにお礼をしないとと考えていたようです。彼女は本当に一生懸命になってくれて、ロンドンにファンに会うのもすごく楽しみに思ってくれていました。みんなも、そんなミノリさんにお礼がしたい気持ちでいっぱいです。包みを開くと、参加者全員で作ったメッセージと写真が満載の小冊子がそこにありました。ミノリさんはすごく感激してくれて、参加者のみんな、そして主催者に素晴らしい会を催してくれたことに対する感謝の気持ちを表します。後で彼女のブログに使うからと、みんなの姿をビデオにも収めました。それぞれのコーデの細かいところまで、きっと彼女のブログに登場しますよ。
