Roses’ ball, the first ever tea party organized by the Mexican lolita community in the state of Puebla surprised all the guests favorably, setting a precedent for future events created for lolitas by other lolitas.
Set in the gorgeous Puebla, the event lasted two days, the first one being an optional tour in downtown touristic locations, such as the Cathedral or the “Museo del Alfeñique” to name a few, and a second day a beautiful tea party in the gorgeous hotel “Palacio San Leonardo”, probably the most adequate place to hold an event such as this.
「バラの舞踏会」と銘打たれたメキシコ・ロリータ・コミュニティが初めてプエブラで開催したお茶会。それは、集まったゲストにとってもうれしい驚きになっただけでなく、ロリータファッションのファンのみんなが自分たちのために作り上げていくイベントの先駆けともなったイベントでした。メキシコのほぼ真ん中に位置するプエブラという美しい街で、そのイベントは二日間にわたって催されました。初日はダウンタウンを観光。大聖堂や有名な「アルフニク美術館」などを訪れ、二日目のお茶会に向けて気分は否応なしに盛り上がっていきます。お茶会は「パラシオ・サン・レオナルド・ホテル」というとてもゴージャスなホテルで催されました。まさに、これ以上の会場はないって感じ。

It included many activities, initially the classic group photo and after it the reception, a perfect timing to talk and say hi to lolitas, old and new. Among the honored guests, we had the fortune to receive two ladies from Wellington, New Zeland, the lovely Kat and Rebekah, among visitors from all over Mexico, from Coahuila, Mexico City, Guadalajara and many more.
お茶会は楽しい活動で盛りだくさん。まずお決まりのグループ写真タイム。それからレセプション、ここで昔からの友人や新しい友だちにご挨拶という絶好のタイミング。この日はメキシコ中、本当にコアフイラ、メキシコ・シティ、グアダラハラなどから集まったロリータたちに交じって、ニュージーランドからの特別ゲスト、キャットとレベッカも参加してくれていました。

Shortly after, we took a moment to see the illustration exhibit with over ten original pieces of art by Holly Garden, Daniel Zaray, Pezgato, May Moon, Gloria Múnguia among others that were also present in the event itself.
レセプションのすぐ後には、イラストの展示会もありました。ホーリー・ダーデンやダニエル・ザライ、ペスガート、メイ・ムーン、グロリア・ムンフイアなどによるアートを紹介してくれました。

Later on, it was time for our two course meal, composed of two options of traditional cuisine and a third vegan, followed closely by a desserts buffet that contained over seventeen different delicious and also very cute options.
それから食事会。伝統的な料理のコースとベジタリアン向けのコースを選べるようになっていて、それが終わったら17種類のかわいいデザートからなんでも選べるデザートビュッフェで締めくくり。
One of the highlights of the evening was a set of auctions, where the sponsors of the event put their merchandise which included lolita themed shoes, blouses, jewelry, bags and accessories and a few original illustrations and prints. It was a great opportunity to obtain some lovely items for a great price and a showcase to see what the present brands had to offer.
この夜のハイライトは、イベントスポンサーから提供されたアイテムのオークション。ロリータファッションをテーマにした靴やブラウス、宝石類やバッグ、アクセサリーそしてオリジナルのイラストと絵画数点。かわいらしいアイテムがとてもいい価格で手に入るということ以上に、今年流行りのブランドがどんなものを提供してくれるかを見るとてもいい機会だった。

And last, but not least, we have the moment everyone was waiting for, the fashion show. It featured three Mexican lolita brands, Pinkutomidori, Bara no Yami and Puppets, and was accompanied by a shoe sponsorship by up and coming local brand Enid Hallow.
それから、これを忘れてはいけないわね。みんなのお待ちかね、ファッション・ショー。メキシコで有数なロリータ・ブランド、ピンクトミドリ、バラ・ノ・ヤミ、そしてパペッツが特集され、靴のスポンサーには、いま人気急上昇のローカルブランド、エニッド・ハーローから提供されたかわいい靴ばかりが。
The Pinkutomidori collection was a sweet collection, showing pieces in pastel colors and featuring floral and teddy bear prints. Next up was Bara no Yami, a collection of pieces with a gothic and classic feel, featuring bold colors such as black, dark blue, wine red and a pure white bridal gown.
ピンクトミドリのコレクションはスウィートなものばかり。パステルカラーに花とテディーベアのプリントがとても特徴的。二番手はバラ・ノ・ヤミ。ゴシックとクラシックな感じがとてもいい。黒やダークブルー、ワインレッド、そしてピュアホワイトのブライダルガウンなど大胆色使いが最高。
Closing the fashion show, we had Puppets, an OTT brand whose dresses are filled with gorgeous details, featuring two sweet designs in mint and pink colors and two virgin like gowns in blue and bridal white, with details such as a halo and a crown completing the look. I wore the bridal white and I have to say the attention to detail and exquisite craftsmanship immediately made me fall in love with the dress, which had little led lights inside of the skirt, completing the ethereal and pure look.
ショーの最後は、パペッツ。このブランドは細かいところにまですごく気を使っていて、ミントとピンクが今年の押し。ブルーとブライダルホワイトのガウンもすごくよかった。自分でもブライダルホワイトのガウンを着てみたけれど、細かなところへの気配りと精緻な職人技に、一発で恋に落ちてしまいました。スカートの内側には小さなLEDライトまで仕込まれていて、ちょっとこの世のものとは思えない美しさを演出してくれます。

Overall, I must say it was an event in which you could see the huge effort of the staff and how pleased the attendees were, the location was perfect, the hotel’s service excellent and the organization really good. We could easily overlook the delay in certain activities and hope Carrusel de Rosas starts a new event soon taking advantage of their well earned new spot as a lolita favorite in the tea parties we have seen in the last few years.
お茶会は、スタッフの頑張りや参加者の喜んでいる姿を見れば成功だったことは明らかで、会場は完璧、ホテルのサービスも申し分なし、運営も素晴らしいものでした。進行の遅れはあったものの許せる範囲のものでしたから、「カルーセル・デ・ローザス」(薔薇の回転木馬という会)もお茶会で得たロリータファンたちのお気に入りという立場を生かして、すぐにまた新しいイベントを催してほしい、それが私の願いです。
