The day was hot. The day was long. This event took place on Saturday underneath the shade of the walkway over the road. It was a bit secluded, but there were people everywhere! As I arrived, only a couple of people were about including the two organizers, Laarnie and Monique.
その日はとても暑かった。そしてとても長かった。イベントが行われたのは土曜日、それも普通の道の屋根のついた歩道の下で、だった。ちょっと辺ぴなところだったけど、それでも会場には人があふれていく。到着したときは、オーガナイザーのラーミーとモニークを含む数人しかいなかったけどね。

After some time, it appeared our colorful plumes of fashionable attire drew more fashionable expressionists and soon we were a massive force to be reckoned with. Classic and sweet lolita joined the predominantly mismatched and bright styles such as decora, uchuu kei, and shironuri looks present plus a mix of everything in between. The designer in attendance, Rimma, even gave everyone a special gift from ACDC Rag – our choice of gloves in some crazy original prints by ACDC Rag. There were gothic black and red styles, bright colors mixed together, or the gloves I chose that was pink and covered in unicorns!
しばらくすると、私たちのおしゃれで色とりどりないでたちが、もっとおしゃれな人たち、おしゃれの表現者たちを引き寄せるように人が集まりだし、いつしか私たちは誰もが一目置くような大きな力となっていた。クラシカルなロリータさんも、スイートなロリータさんもデコラや宇宙系、白塗りの人たちやその中間のさまざまなバリエーションの人たちといったそれぞれが思い思いの格好をした、パーッと明るくなるようなスタイルの人たちと交じり合っている。このイベントに参加したデザイナーのRimmaが、ACDC Ragから持ってきたスペシャルギフトを配った－これは私たちが選んだもので、ACDC Ragのクレイジーなオリジナルプリントが入った手袋だったのね。ゴシックの黒と赤というスタイルのものもあれば、明るい色が混じっているものもあって、私が選んだものはユニコーン柄のピンクの手袋だったのだ。

The personalities present at this event really helped to emphasize the array of diversity within the Japanese Fashion Community – which will continue to amaze me so long as I can be among these fashionable friends. We hung out, chatted, got photos together, played PokémonGo, and craved cold water and ice cream to cool down in the hot LA heat. After a little while, we got a group photo and said our goodbyes.
このイベントに参加した人々は、ジャパニーズ・ファッションのコミュニティという範囲の中ではあるけれど、ものすごく多様性があることを強調してくれている－そんなおしゃれな友人たちと一緒にいることがいつも私を驚かせてくれる。私たちはかたまりを作って、おしゃべりをして、そしていっしょに写真を撮り、ポケモンGoで遊んだり、暑いロサンゼルスの空気を冷まそうと冷たいお水やアイスクリームに群がる。そして最後にみんなで一緒に集合写真を撮り、友人たちにさよならを言う。
