thé des merveilles 素晴らしいお茶会

A big tea party called « thé des merveilles » was held in Strasbourg (France) on February 25th, 2018. This tea party was organized by one French lolita association “Rouge Dentelles & Rose Ruban”.
This association is founded for the Lolita living on the northeast side of France, where the girls can’t always go to Paris to attend some events. Because in Paris, we have a lot of lolita event, so it’s also nice to have something close to where you live. The association organized nice lolita event in every year.
« thé des merveilles »(素晴らしいお茶会)と題して、2018年2月25日にフランス東部の街、ストラスブールにて、 « Rouge Dentelles & Rose Ruban »(赤いレースとピンクのリボン) というフランスのロリータアソシエーション主催で大規模なお茶会が開催されました。
このアソシエーションは、毎回パリまで行けずにロリータイベントに参加できない、フランスの北東部在住のロリータたちに向けて創設されました。パリでは沢山のロリータイベントが開催されますが、自分たちが住んでいる地域の近くでそれがあったら、もっとハッピーだとみんな思いませんか？
そんなわけでこのアソシエーションは、毎年素敵なロリータイベントを企画運営しています。

In fact, it was a beautiful sunny day, however, because of Siberia wind, it was really cold outside of the event’s hall. Like -8 degrees outside, but inside of the venue, people were very excited, so it was really hot.

実はこのイベント当日は快晴だったんですが、シベリアからの風がヨーロッパ中に吹き荒れていて、イベントホールの外は極寒でした。みんなとても盛り上がっていたから外が－8度でも、中はとても熱かった、HOTだったのです。

Anyway, there were not only French lolita, but also German and Swiss lolita attending this event. They came to Strasbourg just for this event, so, it was really incredible. Strasbourg is the ideal location because it’s near foreign countries like Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
This event was very casual, then we didn’t have any rule to sit down the table, everyone was free to sit where they wanted.
今回のイベントにはフランス人ロリータだけじゃなくて、ドイツからもスイスからもロリータちゃんが沢山参加してくれていました。ストラスブールがスイスやドイツ、ベルギーやルクセンブルグに近くて、国際的なイベントをするのに理想的な場所とはいえ、実際にこのイベントのためだけにこの街に来てくれたと思うと本当にびっくりです。
このイベントは座席も決まってないようなゆったりしたお茶会だったので、みんなお友達同士好きにテーブルについて、会話を楽しんでいました。

The most important thing is that we had a selling space for some brands and companies. Like Atelier Beatrice and Atelier 17 or Wunderwelt to enjoy our shopping.
This is the Atelier 17’s selling space. She is a Taiwanese designer. She is specialized in tights. There were so beautiful tights and accessories from Taiwan, and most of every one bought one of her goods.
今回のお茶会の目玉は物販スペース。Atelier BeatriceやAtelier 17, Wunderweltさんが参加してくれました。
下の写真はAtelier17の物販の様子。彼女は台湾在住のデザイナーさんで現在販売中の商品はタイツや小物がほとんどです。とても素敵なタイツやアクセサリーに皆感激して、大体みんな一つは彼女の商品を買っていたと思います。

Then this is the Atelier Beatrice’s selling space. She is a Japanese creator who offered to us so gorgeous head accessories which we have never seen before. It’s like art, so her stand was really marvelous and there were so many people who stopped to see and buy her creations.
この下の写真はAtelier beatriceの物販スペース。彼女は日本の作家さんで、ヨーロッパのロリータちゃんが見たことないようなゴージャスな頭飾りを沢山提供して下さいました。アクセサリーというよりはアート作品のようで、その素晴らしい作品を見たり買ったりするのに足を止める人だかりが物販スペースにはずっと出来ていました。

This is the Wunderwelt’s stand. This is a company that sells second-hand Lolita items of clothing. There were so many dresses and accessories which were in good condition, then we were all excited by the selection.
次の写真はWunderweltの物販スペースです。ロリータの古着を扱う会社で、今回のお茶会にとても状態の良いお洋服やアクセサリーを沢山提供して下さいました。

The event had a buffet with regional food, we served ourselves the foods and drinks. Do you know the traditional Alsacian cake which named kougelhopf?
食事はビュッフェスタイルで、自分たちで飲み物や食べ物を取りに行きました。ストラスブールがある地域(アルザス)のケーキkougelhopf知ってますか？

The cake that looks like a hat is the cake kougelhopf. We had the choice between the sweet or salted version. It was really delicious.
この写真の真ん中の帽子みたいな形をしているケーキがkougelhopf (クグロフ)です。このケーキは甘いデザートにもなるし、お惣菜等を入れておかずにもなるんですが、この日は両方あって、どちらもとても美味しかったです。

After we played a game like Taboo and one in which the contestant had to find random objects to win a little prize. We then visited the Cathedral of Strasbourg too.
イベントも佳境に入り、タブーゲームみたいなゲームと、読み上げられるランダムなオブジェを探して、見つけたら賞品が貰えるゲームをやった後、ストラスブールの大聖堂を希望者のグループでみに行きました。

This cathedral is really beautiful and every time we have the event at Strasbourg, we visit here, but the inside of the cathedral was colder than outside, so we thought we will end up frozen.
After the cathedral, we visited one of our favorite salon de thé “au fond du jardin”.
この写真は大聖堂の中。実はストラスブールでイベントを行う時は毎回ここを訪れます。この日は大聖堂の中が、外よりも寒くて凍って死んでしまうかと思うほどでした。
大聖堂見学の後は、私たちのお気に入りのサロン・ド・テの一つ、 « au fond du jardin» へ行きました。これがそのウインドー。

We love this salon de thé, because of their madeleine and tea. There are so many teas which you can taste, and the owner of this magic salon welcome you to educate you about their tea. How can you enjoy the flavor of tea or what tea will be better with your cake? The staff will answer you and give you precious advice. If you come to Strasbourg, you have to come here!!
ここのマドレーヌとお茶が本当に最高に美味しくて、私たちはこのサロン・ド・テが大好きなんです。色んな種類のお茶があって、店主が一つ一つについて、例えばどのケーキに度のお茶が合うかとか、どうやれば一番お茶の風味を楽しめるかとかを懇切丁寧に説明してくれます。また、店主だけではなく店員も沢山お茶があり過ぎて迷った時など、色々なアドバイスをくれるんです。もしストラスブールに来ることがあれば、ぜひこのサロン・ド・テにも足を運んで下さい!!
