香港:HKL（香港ロリータ）お茶会 HK Lolita Tea Party Brilliant Ocean Kingdom

こんにちは、海外や日本でゴシック＆ロリータを主としたKawaii文化講演等を行っているBABIです。
6月3日（日）香港でHKL（香港ロリータ）コミュニティの主催によるお茶会イベント「Brilliant Ocean Kingdom」が行われ、メインゲストとして参加させていただきました。
香港はアジアのゲートウェイと言われ、とても活気に満ちています。ゴシック＆ロリータの情報も日本とあまり時差がなく伝わっており、今回のイベントもゴスロリを愛する姫と王子が東アジア中から集結しました。

Hi, this is BABI. I give lectures on Kawaii culture such as Gothic & Lolita, both in Japan and overseas.
On August 3rd (Sunday), I was invited as the main guest at a Tea Party event titled “The brilliant Ocean Kingdom” hosted by the HKL (Hong Kong Lolita) Community.
“The Gateway of Asia,” Hong Kong is a very vibrant city, and information on Gothic & Lolita pours into Hong Kong without so much time rag from Japan, and we had many Gothic & Lolita loving Princesses & Princes from all over East Asia gathered for this event, too.

会場はウェディングパーティーに使用される素敵な披露宴会場でした。6月の香港はすでにとても暑く湿気もあるのですが、室内は大体しっかりクーラーが効いていてひんやりしています。ロリータさん達もオシャレな重ね着のコーディネートで出席していました。
日本からはTriple*fortuneをメインゲストに、Pastel Parade、Vierge Vampur、morum×muuna Stoik、実柚季のまつげの5ブランド、そして台湾からAtelier Creme Bruleeが参加して、この夏にむけた新作のファッションショーを行いました。
The venue for the event was a lovely reception hall normally used for wedding parties. Hong Kong in June is already pretty hot and humid, but the room was well air-conditioned to make us feel even cooler, so the participating Lolitas didn’t have to hesitate to layer clothes for their fashion coordinate
The main guest brand from Japan was Triple*fortune, with 5 other Japanese brands, Pastel Parade, Vierge Vampur, morum×muuna, Stoik, and Miyuki no Matsuge, along with Taiwanese brand Atelier Creme Brulee, taking part in the fashion show featuring their respective new Summer offerings

また今回のイベントタイトルの「Brilliant Ocean Kingdom」とは、BABIとTriple*fortuneデザイナーのカイエがツインボーカルでライブ活動を行っているBrilliant Kingdomというユニット名をアレンジしてくれたものでした。
HKLの主催さんから、ライブでぜひ歌って欲しいとリクエストされ「陸小凰」という曲を披露しました。香港では知らない人はほぼいない映画の主題歌だとか。広東語で歌ったので会場は大盛り上がりでしたよ。
By the way, the title for this event “Brilliant Ocean Kingdom” was actually a take on the name Brilliant Kingdom, which is a band unit which yours truly BABI, and Kaie, designer of Triple*fortune, are the double lead vocals.
We received a request to sing live at the event from the hosting HKL, so we sang “Luk Siu-Fung” which is a theme song of a very famous Hong Kong TV movie. We sang in Cantonese, and the crowd loved it!

香港に限らずですが、アジア圏でのゴシック＆ロリータのお茶会はスイーツだけでなく、肉や魚などの食事が出るイベントが多いように感じられます。お茶は食事のときにいただくものという中国の考え方がミックスしたのかもしれません。このイベントでも魚や肉料理が選べて、コース料理として提供されました。ボリュームもあって美味しかったです。
中国や日本のお茶が西洋に伝わり、紅茶の文化となり、イギリスでアフタヌーンティーが生まれ、それをまたゴシック＆ロリータのお茶会として取り入れ、各国でそれぞれの形になってきているのは、大変興味深いことですね。
I have noticed that Tea Party events in the East Asian area, Hong Kong included, tend to feature complete meat & fish meals, not just sweets. This is maybe due to the Chinese idea that tea is something to be consumed together with the meal. At this event, the participants could choose either meat or fish for the main dish, the entire course being plentiful and delicious!
It is interesting to ponder how tea spread from China and Japan to the West where it evolved into the Black Tea culture such as the British tradition of the Afternoon Tea, which in turn was adopted into the cultures of other countries, now becoming an integral part of the Gothic & Lolita Tea Party tradition!

そしてファッションも暑い地域と寒い地域ではコーディネート方法が異なります。香港ロリータさん達はやはり涼し気な色や素材を用いているのが印象的でした。
現在中国では非常に多くのゴスロリブランドが誕生しています。その数はインディーズブランドを含めると優に1000ブランドを超えていると中国のイベンターさんから伺いました。
日本にも中国の素敵なゴスロリブランドがたくさん入ってきていますし、KERAスタイルでもご紹介しているブランドもあるのでぜひ見てみてくださいね。
　もちろん、日本のゴスロリブランドも夏に向けた新作をどんどん発表しています。

Fashion itself requires different coordinate styles that accommodate the warm or cool climates of respective regions. I noticed that Hong Kong Lolitas fittingly use light & cool colors and materials in creating their styles.
Presently, many Gothic & Lolita brands are being established in China. I have heard from Chinese event hosts that their number goes well over 1000 if you include the indie brands.
Many of these wonderful Chinese brands are now becoming available in Japan, too, which are introduced in KERA Style, so be sure to check them out!
Of course, Japanese Gothic & Lolita brands are coming out with their new Summer offerings, so keep an eye on them, too!
