Behind the Scenes: Modelling for KERA Style!
舞台裏レポート：KERA styleのモデル参加

Recently I got the extraordinary opportunity to join the KERA staff at a brand photoshoot day in Tokyo, modeling alongside a couple of their usual J-fashion models and taking pictures backstage to feature in this ‘behind the scenes report’ at KERA Style.
つい最近だけど驚くような機会をもらって、東京でKERAのスタッフとともにブランド撮影日に参加。それだけじゃなくて、いつも見ているJファッションのモデルさんに交じって撮影モデルをさせてもらったの。彼女たちとも写真を撮ってきたから、KERA style「舞台裏レポート」いっちゃいます！

I arrived at the photo studio at around 9:30 on the morning of the shooting, not entirely sure what to expect for the day. They had said before they would arrange two different outfits and a make-up & hair stylist for me, but I assumed this was mainly to take pictures together with the models for my own report and not really to model for the clothes themselves. However, as turned out they had scheduled me in for my own two photoshoots, just like around 10 other KERA models that would be present that day.
撮影日当日、私がスタジオに着いたのは朝9：30頃。何が起こるのかまだ本当には分かっていません。事前に二つの衣装を用意してくれるとは聞いていたし、メイクさんやヘアスタイリストさんもいるからと聞いていたけど、今回のこの機会は他のモデルさんと写真を撮って、舞台裏のレポートをするのがメインだから、実際に洋服を着ることはないだろうと思っていたのだけれど、他に参加していた10人のKERAモデルさんたちと全く同じように、私のためにも2回の写真撮影がスケジュールされていたのです。

Knowing I am nowhere near as talented and experienced as the professional Japanese models, ‘modelling’ alongside well-known figures as Kimura Yu and Yui Minakata was not only super exciting but also slightly intimidating. :O
自分には日本のプロのモデルさんのような経験も才能もないと知っていたので、木村 優さんや皆方由衣さんといった有名なモデルさんたちと一緒にモデルのお仕事をするなんて、すごくワクワクしたのと同時に、正直少し怖かった。

This was my first look of the day, wearing a new release by BABY, THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT.
これが、その日、最初のコーデ。BABY, THE STARS SHINE BRIGHTの最新リリースを着る。

The staff and other models soon made me feel very comfortable and at home though. Models were scheduled for specific time slots each and would arrive accordingly at the studio. Between shootings, we enjoyed sandwiches provided by staff and had the time to relax and chat a lot. Especially because my two shoots were scheduled as both the first and last of the whole day (the first one at 10 am and the second at around 4 pm), I got the opportunity to meet each and every model individually and spend loads of time watching them modeling and taking silly selfies & videos with them. The overall atmosphere was very relaxed and most models stayed around for a bit also after they were finished with their own photoshoots.
スタッフさんや集まったモデルさんたちもみんな優しくしてくれ、その場の雰囲気に慣れてはいったけど、それぞれのモデルさんたちは自分の撮影時間に合わせてスタジオに到着してくる。その撮影と撮影の間、私はスタッフさんが用意してくれたサンドイッチを食べたり、おしゃべりをして過ごしました。私自身の撮影はその日の一番最初と一番最後だったので（最初が10時ころで、2回目が午後4時ころだった）、私はその日参加したモデルさんの全員と会うことができて、彼女たちのモデル姿を見学したり、彼女たちとおばかはセルフィーやビデオを撮ったり、とても楽しんだ。スタジオの雰囲気も良かったので、自分の撮影が終わったモデルさんたちもその後少しだけスタジオに長居をしたりしていた。

こんな皆さんといっしょに時間を過ごしました！

Being at the photo studio for the whole day also meant I got to spend some time watching the staff work and getting to know some of them a bit better. For example, the make-up and hair stylist Namiki (@Kurura_System), someone whose work I had been admiring online for quite a while before, turned out to be one of the friendliest and funniest people I’ve ever met!
一日中撮影スタジオにいられたことで、スタッフの方たちが働く姿を見ることもでき、彼らのことを以前よりもよく知ることができました。例えば、メイクやヘアスタイリストの双木さん（@Kurura_System）。彼女のお仕事は以前からオンラインで知っていて、あこがれていたけれど、何とその方はこれまで会った人の中でも一番楽しくて、友達のように接してくれる人だったのです。

Then it was time for my second look: an all-3F coordinate! Before the shooting day, they had asked me which brands I liked most and later let me known that I would be wearing one BtSSB and one 3F coordinate. I was already very excited about wearing this extravagant 3F outfit, but even more so when right before I was about to get all dressed-up again, they told me that Kaie-san (3F designer and one of KERA’s current chief editors) was about to join us at the studio. It was such a nice surprise that I could meet her again, especially since this dress that she designed happens to be one of my dream dresses as well!
そして私のその日2度目の撮影の時間。すべてトリプル・フォーチュンでのコーデ！ 　撮影の前にどのブランドが一番好きかと聞かれていて、その後にBABY, THE STARS SHINE BRIGHTとトリプル・フォーチュンのコーデを着ることになると聞かされていました。トリプル・フォーチュンの服を着ることだけでもワクワクものなのに、いざ撮影、着替えとなったときに、トリプル・フォーチュンのデザイナー、カイエさんがスタジオにやってくると聞かされたの。彼女にまた会えるなんてすごい驚きで、その上、彼女がその日用意してくれたドレスは、私が本当に夢見ていたデザインのものだったの！！

By the way, I know that this print has been released, but for the sake of not showing the complete look, I still have to blur out my full-body shots. I expect the actual photoshoot’s pictures to appear on KERA Style later this month though:-).
ところで、このプリント柄が以前からリリースされているものだということは分かっているのだけれど、それでも全身写真はモザイクを入れておくことにします。実際のモデル写真は、今月これから、KERA Styleに掲載されることになっているから:-）

After getting my last pictures were taken and Kaie-san had left, still a few models had to finish their last looks and shoots. I stayed around for just a bit longer, but I was also quite exhausted after more than 7 hours at the studio. (I have great respect for everyone who was there working all day!)
At around 5 pm I decided it was time for me to leave and finally say goodbye to everyone. All staff and models had been so sweet and helpful and I’m definitely looking forward to meeting them again some time!
私の二度目の撮影が終わり、カイエさんが帰られてからもまだ他のモデルさんの撮影は続きます。私ももう少しスタジオに残りましたが、さすがに7時間もスタジオにいるのはとても疲れました（一日中仕事をされているスタッフの皆さんには本当に頭が下がります。尊敬します！）
そして夕方5時になって、私も変える時間になり、みんなにさよならを言いました。スタッフさんもモデルさんもみんな本当に優しくて、いろいろ助けてくれて、またいつか本当に合えたらうれしいなと思います。
