I am feeling so very kawaii and ruffled! I attended in the sunshine state also known as Florida, for a Lolita Convention. Though it was the convention’s first time, everyone was so wonderful and enchanted from head to toe. To feel grand, was an understatement.
とてもカワイイ、フリルもはずむような感じ。サンシャイン・ステート、陽光の州として有名なフロリダ。そこで行われたロリータ・コンベンションに参加してきたの。大会としては第一回目だったけど、参加したみんなはとても楽しそうで、みんな可愛らしかったわ。楽しいってだけじゃ言い表せないくらい、楽しかった。

More than thrilled, I met up with some of my fashion friends who also were dressed in their Lolita coordinates. We had small talk, tea along with desserts and finger sandwiches. We even got to watch a runway of fashion coordinate’s that are recognized Lolita Brands from around the world. One of the vendors was from Switzerland another from Korea and of course a popular one from Florida. It was all so much fun and super adorable.
可愛いロリータコーデに身を包んだ友人たちにも会えました。皆でおしゃべりをして、デザートや一口サンドをいただいたり、世界中から集まったロリータ・ブランドのファッションショーを見たりしました。あるブランドはスイスから、そしてもうひとつは韓国から、もちろんフロリダの人気ブランドも、このランウェイに参加して、すごく楽しかったし、みんなとっても可愛いの。

They had a Decora style, Lolita styles, and wigs of all kinds to purchase at the vendor booths. The Lolita Coordinate Contest was a thrill. Everyone could self-express and be themselves without a single worry. The tea party fell under the charm of this amazing hotel where the convention was hosted. It felt like we were sent back to another time zone and to top it off the theater’s curtains was a bright cherry bon bon red!
販売ブースではデコラもロリータスタイルも、ウィッグも買うことができて、それからロリータ・コーデ・コンテスト、これはもう最高。参加した人たちは自信満々で自分を十分に表現していた。お茶会もコンベンションが行われたホテルの一角で催され、なんだか違う世界に紛れ込んだみたいだった。お茶会会場のカーテンが、そう、劇場にかかっているような雰囲気のもので、とても明るいチェリーボンボン色だったんだもの。

Speaking of colors, my coordinate was a sweet meets classic Lolita coordinate, striped with baby blue and a bold black. The dress had dainty sweets aligning the trim with bows and lace. I added a lace fringe shell to cape around me in the inspiration of Cinderella. Imagine, a girl seen as ordinary but went sent to the ball she shows her true colors, a diamond in the ruff.
色の話を続けるわ。私がその日着ていったのは、スウィートとクラシックの出会いを狙ったコーデで、ベイビーブルーと大胆な黒のストライプというドレス。縁のところに上品にスウィーツがならんでリボンもレースもついているもの。それからシンデレラにインスピレーションをうけた、レースのフリンジがついた袖なしブラウスをケープのようにかけていった。普通の子が舞踏会に引っ張り出され、そこで本当の色を見せる、みたいな感じを狙ったの。

I also wore a gentle shirr puffed short sleeve top that really made the coordinate of mine complete. The Liz Lisa’s summer floral top gently framed my shoulders and kept me cool on a hot day. As we all know Lolita clothing can be very hot, so this top saved me from overheating and kept me cool, it was my secret ingredient.
コーデを決めてはシャーリングがはいってふっくらしたショートスリーブのトップス。LIZ LISA （リズ・リサ）の夏の花模様が肩のラインを柔らかく見せてくれて、その上、暑い日でも涼しくいられるの。みんな、知っていると思うけれど、ロリータファッションって暑いじゃない。でも、このトップスならオーバーヒートしなくて済むし、涼しげにいられるのよね。私の秘密の一品。
I decided to do a more Hime look for my makeup! I wore a ballet baby pink blush, bloomed rose pink lipstick and soft but dramatic lashes for my eyes. I felt so much like a princess and completely in my comfort zone. I made sure to have short ruffled pink socks with, guess again, Liz Lisa platform shoes! They were a brilliant pearl white with snowy palms on top of them. From head to toe, I felt alive and inspired.
メイクには姫ルックを採用！ベイビーピンクのほほ紅、ローズピンクのリップスティック、そして柔らかいけれどドラマチックなアイラッシュ。もう気分はお姫様、私の大好きな、そして一番落ち着く気分。足元はフリルのついたピンクのソックス、そしてもう分かるでしょ、LIZ LISA（リズ・リサ）のプラットフォームシューズ！きれいなパールホワイトに真っ白なパームスがついているの。頭からつま先まで、生きていてよかったという感じ。インスピレーションが湧きっぱなしよ。

I was so concerned at one point in the convention! I had left behind my hand made bonnet! I wore a natural long blonde wig, but without my head piece It was not complete. To my surprise, one of my gal pals decided to save the day! She had a plan B for her whole Lolita coordinate and let me borrow her Liz Lisa pink bow. She even brought me back stage to help me in my ruffled moment. She was a true gem and so sweet to have helped me.
でも、ひとつだけ心配だったことがあった。手作りの帽子を忘れてきてしまったのね。長いブロンドのウィッグをつけていたのだけれど、帽子がなければ完成と言えなかった。そうしたら友人の一人が、自分のコーデを変更して、私にLIZ LISA（リズ・リサ）のピンクのリボンを貸してくれたの。その子、その上、バックステージに私を引っ張っていってくれて、着付けの手伝いまでしてくれたのよ。彼女みたいな友人は本当に大事、私の宝物。

For the rest of the evening, before the clock struck 12, we helped clean up the magic and go back to our hard working lives. It truly was an amazing time. Thank you for joining my journey of ruffled and sweet fun.
それから真夜中になるまで、私たちは魔法の国の後片付けを手伝い、それから日常のそれぞれの仕事に戻っていったの。あれは本当にすばらしい時間だった。
